At Ellendel, we believe that self-confidence, resilience, and effective communication skills are immensely important and this forms the foundation of all our lessons. Our Introductory classes are perfect for young learners taking their first steps in Speech and Drama. Through fun games, role-play, story telling and creative movement, students develop clear speech, expressive voices, and confident communication. Early LAMDA exam preparation is introduced, focusing on building skills in Verse speaking, acting, and performance in a supportive environment. This class nurtures creativity, self-expression, and a love of language - while giving children the confidence to grow and express themselves freely.
Speech and Drama - Foundation (9 - 11yrs) at Beckenham, Beckenham.
At Ellendel, we believe that self-confidence, resilience, and effective communication skills are immensely important and this forms the foundation of all our lessons. Building on early performance skills, this class develops confident communication, expressive delivery, and a deeper understanding of text. Students explore acting, verse speaking, story telling, and reading aloud while learning voice projection, clarity and stage presence. Lessons are creative and varied, combing games, ensemble work, and performance practice. LAMDA exam preparation is introduced or continued at the appropriate level, supporting students as they grow in confidence and skill.
